BOOK REVIEW THE ALCHEMIST
Have you sometimes felt the need of somebody to guide you? Have you sometimes dwelt in immense confusion and grief, with nowhere to go or no one to turn to?
Similar was the fate of Santiago in Paulo Coelho's famous book, The alchemist. The book follows Santiago's journey to finding his inner voice and realizing that even when there is no hope, God tries to communicate and guide oneself through the language of the world which doesn't require words to be interpreted.
In today's times, human lives have become more chaotic than usual. There seems to be no sort of meaning to life when there's too much for one to do. At this point one observes the need of living for themselves rather than fulfilling the needs of a dozen other people. This book can help any individual realize themselves and their surroundings, opening their eyes to the true meaning of their existence.
The author emphasizes on the fact that God exists within oneself and even though everything that happens in life is probably already written, it is still influenced by the person's actions.
I myself have always led a very haywire life. Yet, this book helped me realize my true inner calling. It made me realize that sometimes one should stop focusing on what others believe but think about being the way you would want yourself to be.
Hence, I adore this book and have always recommended it.
